Like Tamagotchi, but an annoying cutie-pie

Idea Factory International has some fun news for Hyperdimension Neptunia fans. The Japanese phone app, imaginatively named Hyperdimension Neptunia: The App, is to be localised for the West.

The renamed Neptunia & Friends app can be downloaded to your iPhone and features Nep-Nep and her close buddies Vert, Blanc, Noire and Nep’s alter-ego, Purple Heart. The app can be used to play mini-games, such as a Poker variant, and features character, costume and background customisation options.

Neptunia & Friends will have fully translated text and dialogue, with new voice lines recorded for all of the Goddesses. So you can have Neptune shouting at you to get your lazy ass out of bed. Just in case things sounded far too innocent, the app also features a “Love Love gauge”, which you can raise for “a smooch” (Idea Factory’s words, not mine.)

Neptunia & Friends launches on iOS on August 29.
