Need for Speed: NITRO hits Wii and DS this November

Can you feel it yet? Can you feel the pile of videogame releases being crammed into the September through November time slot? It’s time to start saving up, or you could always do what I do: pick and choose what looks and sounds the best, even if it means potentially missing out on something special.

One such passable game, for me, will probably be Need for Speed: NITRO. EA took the series in a whole number of different directions, this being one of them. The Wii- and DS-exclusive racing game has been dated for November 17.

A good date for younger gamers and possibly even die-hard NFS fans, but not for most of us, I’m sure. While NITRO is said to be an arcade-style racer, it’s not going to be a Mario Kart clone. At least that was EA Montreal’s intention, last I heard.
