Need a cure for that Mother itch? Reverie might be the answer!

Side effect: Might create an itch for a new classic Zelda

Reverie is an action adventure game set on a fictional island known as “Toromi Island” in Kiwi-land (New Zealand), inspired heavily by classic Zelda games and the Mother series. In the game you play as Tai, a young kid on summer holiday who then suddenly due to plot reasons has to explore dungeons and other environments to deal with angry spirits that need to be put to rest.

The game will feature six dungeons to fight and puzzle-solve your way through, a variety of weapons with different gameplay styles, a story inspired by Maori legend, a wide variety of distinct environments to explore, and collectibles to find.

Reverie is set to release in early 2018 for PlayStation Vita in Asian regions from New Zealand based developer Rainbite Limited and in collaboration with Eastasiasoft Limited. The game will be playable in English, Japanese, traditional Chinese, and will also be receiving a limited edition physical release through Play-Asia.com.

The physical limited edition will include: The game itself, a manual, soundtrack CD, an individually numbered certificate, a map, and collector’s edition box.

For those of you in Japan, the game will be playable at this year’s Tokyo Game Show as well, you’ll wanna keep your eye out for booth 9-B19. Personally, I’m looking forward to this and best yet it gives me an excuse to blow the dust off my Vita and play something on it for once.
