Necronamco Bandai: More XBLA retro revivals planned

Recommended Videos

If you were one of the many who loved Pac-Man: Championship Edition and Galaga Legions, then you’ll be pleased to know that DLC-lovin’ Namco Bandai is is planning more retro remakes in the future.

The same small team that updated Pac-Man and Galaga is the one plotting for fresh resurrections, so we know that whatever game is picked next shall be in safe hands. So far, however, there has been no word on which game shall be dragged out of the sarcophagus.

Tadashi Iguchi, the director of Namco’s retro renovation division, has stated that he plans to bring the company’s “masterpiece games” to the XBLA, delivering titles to people “who liked games in the 80s.” I can think of a few people around here who will surely be thrilled at that statement.

Now what needs to happen is for Tecmo to let Namco’s team have Bomb Jack for a few months. I promise only good things would happen.
