Neat-sounding Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Shadow mode detailed

With Marvel vs. Capcom 3 right around the corner (Tuesday is the big day), fans are entering into a stage of hype mightier than Chris Redfield’s biceps. And that guy can fight boulders. Capcom-Unity has detailed the intriguing new Shadow mode, which you’ll want to hear more about.

Shadow mode allows you to compete against AI rivals “modeled after famous players and specific themed teams.” This content will begin rolling out in March through downloadable packs, each of which contain three teams. Pack one is producer Ryota Niitsuma, assistant producer Akihito Kadowaki, and a QA team leader.

And, as an added bonus, take a look at this smart new “network simulation” feature highlighted by Event Hubs. You can practice your skills in an online-esque environment without even going online. Crazy.

[Thanks, Jon]
