Naughty Dog wants 1080p, 60fps for Uncharted 4

Pondering an Uncharted trilogy remaster

Naughty Dog is targeting 1080p and 60 frames per second for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, community strategist Arne Meyer told Eurogamer.

“I think that’s what we want to push for with anything we’re doing on this generation,” he said. “That’s sort of the mandate from when we were building the PS4 engine. Let’s see if we can do this and hit it. We hit it with The Last of Us Remastered, so why not stick with this?”

Similarly, why not remaster the Uncharted trilogy for PS4, too? “It’d be nice to give players the opportunity to go back and play the older games, and people who are new to the PlayStation platform,” Arne said. “I think that’d be great — but I have no idea how that could fall into our timeline.” Indeed, that’s the major concern here.

Yes, a potential Uncharted Remastered would be nice and all, but I wouldn’t want it to come at the expense of something wholly new at Naughty Dog.
