Today sees the release of a major update to Capcom’s blockbuster adventure title Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Version 3.5 will launch today on all platforms, bringing new challenges, new gear and, of course, terrifying and powerful new prey.

The first new addition to the hit-list is the Master Rank Kulve Taroth quest, which will see players go up against the top-tier Elder Dragon variant. This quest is available from April 23 until May 8. If you’re a glutton for punishment, then the Arch-Tempered Namielle will also be joining the fight, and is rumoured to be one of the toughest creatures ever to grace the Monster Hunter universe. You can battle this beastie between May 1 and May 15.

Defeating either of these legendary monsters will reward you with the crafting materials to make gear themed after each creature. But move fast, as these are limited time events. Be sure to bag your tales and trophies before these epic encounters vanish as suddenly as they arrived.

Accompanying the two new quests, several technical changes have been made to a few weapon options and crafting mechanics, alongside the usual run of balance tweaks and bug fixes. For full details on Version 3.5 and all of its contents, check out the official patch notes right here.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
