Namco’s racing game comes to the iPhone, just like everything else is. They’re calling it Ridge Racer Accelerated, and it is still the nitro boosting drift fest that you’d expect from the series, except this time the steering is controlled with the iPhone’s accelerometer.

As of now, there’s 18 cars and 2 tracks, but there’s more to come soon. Future updates will include over 40 courses and 60 cars, access to the users iTunes library and Bluetooth multiplayer. There’s also DLC, if you’re into that kind of thing.

It sounds pretty cool and I hope to give it a spin soon. It’s up on the App Store now for only $2.99. They have the hot Ridge Racer girl in the icon, so that’s a good start.
