Namco offers downloading PC titles via Facebook for $9.99 a pop

When I’m in the mood for Pac-Man, my favorite way to play it is to fire up the Championship Edition, but I can definately see the advantage of being able to fire it up on your computer anytime you get the urge. Namco now offers the option of playing both Pac-Man and Dig-Dug through Facebook, and while the demos are free, there’s a catch: actually downloading the game costs $9.99, and you can’t play it in your browser.

The comments are pretty brutal, especially the ones for Pac-Man. There’s also no Mac version, which certainly isn’t going to win any points with those users. Sorry Namco, I think you missed the mark on this one. Better luck next time?
