Modder demo_the_doomer has taken up an odd job recently: rebuilding GoldenEye 007 as a Doom mod.  Hey, you got to stay busy, elsewise you die, whether you’re remaking an old game in a different old game or working towards being able to do 100 consecutive push-ups.

While some of us can still find fun in the N64 staple (here’s Ben Davis all about it), others (me) have tried to go back to it within the past year or two and found it to control pretty janky. “So they finally jazzed it up a bit,” eh? Multi ball, multi ball!

I’ll let demo himself take it from here before I try to cram any more references in like square pegs in triangular holes: “Welcome to the new Goldeneye 007 tc, an updated version of the original goldeneye007tc for doom. But there are going to be many changes, such as the heavy use of 3d floors and dynamic lights, advanced weapons, and much much more. Work has commenced and is moving quickly, so expect a demo of the first level by around the end of the month.”

Oh, and the changes to the Dam level are good: “setting to a nighttime environment, and the changing of the guard towers and adding structures that utilize 3d floors, as well as chairs that explode.” Exploding chairs! Keep doing you, modders. You make fun shit.
