My Secret Diary fills a niche on DS

Forget about Fallout 3 and curbstomp Gears of War 2, I know now what my GOTY is going to be right here. My Secret Diary allows you to write diary entries, keep track of upcoming events in your social calendar and play mini-games. Plus, you can keep it all hidden away with a password. A secret password!

You may think I’m being snarky here (and I am) but there’s something that really irks me about My Secret Diary. It’s the only title which I am aware of for the DS in the English-speaking world that provides PDA features. I would think that, between the touchscreen and the reasonably high adoption rate amongst adults, especially the less tech-savvy, this sort of software would be a no-brainer. Hell, I know that I wouldn’t mind being able to carry that info around in my DS and have one less thing filling my pockets on a daily basis.

At any rate, the title comes out on Friday in the UK. I don’t think I need to bother asking if anyone here would buy this but I am curious to know one thing: Would PDA software for DS appeal to you? And do you know of one that I could acquire? Perhaps one that isn’t so… pink?
