MSX and Neo-Geo games to be on Virtual Console

Recommended Videos

Now, I can’t read Japanese very well (translation: at all), but I did manage to catch the English words MSX and Neo-Geo amongst a sea of non-Roman characters on Nintendo’s official website.

What does that mean, you ask?

First, settle down — stop knocking everything off your desks and screaming in eager anticipation. Confirmed by cubed3, Nintendo’s Virtual Console will now offer games from 80s standardized home computer MSX and classic (but expensive) 90s console Neo-Geo. Whether these additions will just stay in Japan is unclear.

This news is almost out of nowhere, but who are we to complain if Samurai Showdown is eventually only one awkward download away.

What do you think? Good news for more obscure video game fans? Or is this just another way for us to throw away our hard-earned money?
