Thanks to a post on the Japanese Xbox site, it’s confirmed that Mr. Driller Online is coming out this Wednesday in Japan for Xbox Live. Of course, the majority of the Destructoid staff will be in planes to Cancun by then, so it wouldn’t have mattered even if it was the US release. A few of our expert community blog matlockers had already uncovered it as rumor, but now we can only assume that a US release should soon follow.
It looks like the game will have a strong focus for multiplayer fans, featuring the following modes:
- Multiplayer ã€Solo Battle】
- Multiplayer ã€Tag Battle】
- Single Player ã€Standard Driller】
- Single Player ã€Quest Driller】
Being a single player quest kind of girl, I’m glad they left an option in for that as well. The game will cost 800 Microsoft points, but still no word on when the US release will follow. Is this the type of game you would download, or does the overload of pink and happy make you too queasy to consider it?
