Mortal Kombat 11’s launch trailer welcomes you to ‘Test Your Might’

MORTAL KOMBAT!

As we inch closer to the launch of Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios has been shifting into overdrive with its marketing push. While I typically avoid these types of tactics, I figured I’d share the launch trailer for one important reason. It features a remix of “Techno Syndrome,” the theme used in the Mortal Kombat film. As a ’90s kid, it hit me right in the nostalgia bone.

If you’re worried about potential spoilers, I wouldn’t even watch the trailer. It shows off a few characters that may or may not be playable, which could be a buzz kill for some. I wouldn’t say there are any major revelations, but I can understand wanting to go in completely blind.

The inclusion of these other characters brings up a lot of questions, but we’ll have them answered in short order. Mortal Kombat 11 launches next week on April 23, 2019. It will be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on the same day.
