More renders released for that canceled gritty Mega Man reboot

Remember that?

Back in 2013 we learned of a canceled gritty Mega Man X reboot titled “Maverick Hunter.” Fans were split on the concept, but ultimately I saw it as a fresh new take compared to what Capcom had been doing with the franchise lately — namely, nothing at all.

Now, compliments of artist Jaehoon Kim, who had worked on the game, we have a some more pictures of what the new Blue Bomber may have looked like. He didn’t come up with the idea for the armor (that was Adi Granov of Marvel film fame), but he did a great job of rendering it.
