More DS tapping: New rhythm game Beat City

Recommended Videos

Rhythm games are my jam, so I’m glad to see that at least one more is in the works. This is from developer Universomo, and it’s called Beat City.

This DS game is supposed to tell a story of revolution and love, and of restoring beats to a city that has lost its rhythm. You’ll play through 20 stylized music-based minigames that have you swiping, tapping and holding to change the city of beats right in front of your eyes.  The better of a beat you keep, the more that is unlocked in this environment. I love the name of the villan in this story: Dame Isolde Minor and her Cacophony Corporation.

This sounds pretty cool and the visual style looks great. Here’s hoping we hear a bit more before the spring 2010 release.
