More 360 bundles dumped into Japan, now with Resident Evil 5 and Star Ocean 4

I guess Microsoft thinks if they keep dumping Xbox 360 bundles onto Japanese consumers, sooner or later one is going to take, right?

Well, I’d say that the Star Ocean 4 bundle — which hits stores on February 19 — has a pretty decent chance of turning some heads. The bundle comes with an Xbox 360 Arcade unit, a Star Ocean 4 soundtrack and a faceplate, all for ¥24,800 ($265 US). Yup, no hard drive or memory unit; Japanese gamers play 40-plus-hour RPGs straight through, anyhow.

Then there’s the Resident Evil 5 bundle, which does come with a 60GB hard drive, for ¥34,800 ($373 US). You’ll get a 48 hour Xbox LIVE Goal trial card (for that co-op RE5 gaming), the deluxe edition of the game that comes with a tin and the game’s soundtrack. Fancy.

Compared to the crap bundles we get in North America, these should be pretty appealing to gamers. But will the Japanese bite? If you didn’t have a 360 (or you don’t) would one of these bundles catch your attention?
