You can also gain leaderboard ranking prizes based on how many points you obtain compared to other players. In other words, even if you complete every milestone, you may still rank lower than someone else and not receive the top prize. In contrast, even if you don’t finish all 30 reward tiers, you can still win first place, giving you over 1,000 dice and other valuable prizes on top of your tournament prizes.

How to score points in the Monopoly GO Great Guac Off tournament

Scoring points during the Great Guac Off tournament requires landing on railroad tiles and completing its minigames. Railroad minigames consist of Landmark Shutdown and Bank Heists against other players, which give points based on the following results:

  • Shutdown – Blocked: Two points
  • Shutdown – Success: Four points
  • Bank Heist – Small: Four points
  • Bank Heist – Large: Six points
  • Bank Heist – Bankrupt: Eight points

While two, four, or even eight points don’t look like a lot compared to the thousands you need for later tournament tiers, you can change these by increasing your dice multiplier. In other words, two points can turn into 200 very quickly if you have enough dice to sustain a 100-times multiplier. Similarly, if you’re confident you’ll land on a railroad tile soon, you can use powerups like High Roller to raise your multiplier limit, allowing you to get thousands of points at the risk of draining all your dice in one go.
