Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux may be all about the Xbox 360, but he’s not above praising PS3 exclusives, happy to admit that Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet was the most creative endeavor of last year.

The Fable creator was speaking at this year’s Creative and Business International Network review of the creative economy, where he highlighted that LBP‘s release was the most important creative innovation of 2008.

LittleBigPlanet has outstanding creative vision. It’s from a British start-up studio and is one of the defining titles on Japan’s Sony PS3,” stated the outspoken designer.

That’s nice for LittleBigPlanet, and with all the love that’s clearly gone into the game, it’s good that other developers would notice and give it due respect. Personally I think the inclusion of Stephen Fry as narrator was its most important innovation, however.
