The card-centric strategy title Scrolls will be available in an open beta capacity for PC and Mac starting June 3, 2013. This is Mojang, so you’ll need to pay up — £13/€15/$20, in this specific case — to play the work-in-progress game. Here’s a launch trailer to catch you up to speed.

Did Mojang fans at large ever come around? I seem to recall Scrolls garnering criticism for being what it is, which felt inevitable coming off of Minecraft. I’m not particularly into card games either, but I did enjoy Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes and I am seeing a bit of that here.
