Modern Warfare 3 will support dedicated servers

Modern Warfare 2 gained huge amounts of wrath when it was revealed that Infinity Ward planned to drop dedicated server support. With Modern Warfare 3, the studio is hoping to gain some goodwill with the announcement that dedicated servers are back!

Beachhead is also working hard on a PC-version of Call of Duty Elite, just to make sure nobody’s left out of Activision’s latest money-maker. On the console side, Elite is getting a “Console App” alongside everything else, which will allow Elite access without having to leave your armchair.

So yeah, this is pretty cool news for COD obsessives.
