Modern Warfare 2 DLC: One million served in 24 hours

Hear that? Yes sir, that’s the sound of Activision laughing all the way to the bank. Many of us complained about the first add-on for Modern Warfare 2 being too pricey — $15 for 3 new maps and 2 returning maps from Call of Duty 4 — but as expected, more than enough people were willing to suck it up.

According to Activision’s report, the “Stimulus Package” was downloaded more than one million times in its first 24 hours of being available on Xbox LIVE. Skip ahead to sales for the DLC’s initial week and you’re looking at more than 2.5 million downloads.

I can only imagine how popular this map pack will become once Infinity Ward opens it up to the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Modern Warfare 2. Yikes!
