Microsoft not interested in HD remakes

Would you like to replay Fable in HD? How about Jade Empire? Or Halo? Maybe even Halo 3 (lulz)? Well tough shit, because Microsoft isn’t interested. While Sony has curried favor with a number of upcoming HD remakes including Sly Cooper and Shadow of the Colossus, the Xbox 360 maker has said a similar idea isn’t a priority.

“I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad idea,” says MGS corporate VP Phil Spencer. “… We obviously have a lot of new things going on, so the thought of re-doing a bunch of things is probably difficult to just weave into the overall portfolio. If you can provide real value to the customer, there could be possibilities for that, but I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about it.”

Of course, with Kinect coming soon, the thought of making actual videogames is far from Microsoft’s mind. It has Glee viewers and Justin Bieber fans to appeal to, damn it!
