DLC, Schmee-El-Ce. A recent remark by THQ’s Huw Benyon seemed to spell doom for hopefuls that wanted more to purchase more Metro 2033 after purchasing Metro 2033, but a recent Facebook update has put the brakes on that. In a recent official Facebook update, a 4A Games representative confirmed DLC plans.
It’s all in that Title Update you may or may not have updated. “There’s a couple of reasons for [the Title Update] — primarily it’s to allow the game to accept DLC further down the line — with the game now finished we have been turning our thoughts to potential DLC.”
The rep went into just a wee bit of detail about what to expect. “We’ve got some ideas,” the post reads, “but nothing we can talk about right now other than to say it won’t be new SP content, ‘missing levels’ or anything like that. It’s something we’re only just starting production on.”
No new metro tunnels, no problem — especially if 4A Games adds in colorful enemies like cannibalistic nuclear-mutated rats. Think about it.
