In US and Canada tomorrow
Nintendo TVii launches on the Wii U on December 20 in US and Canada. That’s tomorrow. The free television watching social service will be in place just before kids unwrap their Wii U on Christmas Day. Close one, Nintendo. You would have come out looking like scrooge if you missed this.
Nintendo plans to transform the TV viewing experience with TVii, letting each member of their home have their own customized, personalized viewing experience of TV, streaming video, and more. Social features let users share thoughts on what they’re watching over Facebook, Twitter, and Miiverse straight from the GamePad. Get movie reviews, sports stats, cast details and more.
The December 20 launch will support cable and satellite providers in US and Canada. It will also support Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video in the United States. Netflix and Tivo support will come in 2013.
