Mega Man X DLC wall kicks into Minecraft

These pixels are somehow fatter than I remember

Ready to wreck some Reploids once again? Grab your pick-axe because this time, the virus-ridden mavericks are invading by way of new Mega Man X DLC, which is now available for Minecraft.

This fat pack brings you recreations of classic stages thickened with the magic of voxels. Within, you can do battle with some of Mega Man X’s most recognizable mavericks, including Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Armored Armadillo, and something Chameleon. I’ve played through the SNES title about a million times; look at how great my memory is!

Along the way, you’ll also collect upgrades for your gear. You can even bring some friends along to help rid the world of Sigma. You’ll get 14 skins in the package. This is also accompanied by the classic Mega Man X soundtrack, which I recognize as the music that is endlessly bouncing around the inside of my skull.

I haven’t played Minecraft since it was still in beta. I keep thinking I should get back into it to see what it’s like now, but I’m pretty sure in order to do so, I’d need to set aside a week or two of my life and have a detox planned for after. As such, I have no idea how these DLC packs work. I guess they’re like games within the game.

What I do know is that the DLC pack can be bought for 1340 Minecraft coins. I don’t know what those are, but I’m told that it equals out to roughly $8.
