The march towards the Mega Man series’ 25th anniversary continues with the Mega Man Boss Battle Tribute art gallery. Videogame designer Jason Warnke has gathered 131 artists who will each create a piece based on a single character from the franchise — not just Robot Masters either, but also supporting cast members, fortress bosses, and others outside the Classic series.
You can check out the full list of contributing artists here. Among the participants are former Dtoid editor Ashley Davis, with a rendition of Sting Chameleon, and Dtoid comic creator Mikey Turvey, taking on Launch Octopus. Someone has even claimed this rather ridiculous foe!
The gallery will go live on December 15, two days before Mega’s birthday. However, Jason also wants to set up a live venue on the same day somewhere in San Francisco. You can count on me to keep you dudes updated on developments!
