Meet Nintendo’s core cast of fighters in Arms

I hope this game finds an audience

Chris already initiated the dibs callin’ process for Arms when he posted the Japanese-language versions of these clips last month, so I’m left with the slightly off-smelling scraps. Not that I mind!

Out of the combatants introduced so far — Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, Master Mummy, and Mechanica — I’d be just peachy playing as the neglected mummy grump in this stretchy Nintendo Switch fighting game. The old brute can restore his health as he turtles up in defense, after all.

For this second mechanics-focused video, Nintendo walks us through Arms‘ aftermarket weaponry.

I’m still not entirely sure what to make of this game, but these videos do help. In the mean time, much like Splatoon before it, I’ve enjoyed getting to know the characters leading up to the spring release.
