WayForward Games and Arc System Works have released a short trailer, spotlighting one of the dual heroines from upcoming retro brawler River City Girls. Put up your dukes and prepare to get laid the fuck out, quite honestly. Misako’s coming to town.

Misako is the black-haired bob-cut member of the dynamic duo that make up the titular River City Girls. Alongside her bestie Kyoko, Misako takes to the mean streets of River City in a double-fisted quest to rescue the pair’s boyfriends, who have been kidnapped by ruthless gangsters.

In the trailer we catch a glimpse of River City Girls‘ anime and manga sequences, which will be used to relay the game’s narrative, the in-game shop, where characters can stock up on new rib-busting maneuvers, and of course, lashings of the old ultra-violence. Watch as Misako lays it in with her oh-so-cute knuckledusters, along with anything that isn’t nailed down or on fire. What a gal. I think she’s already my favourite of the awesome twosome.

River City Girls
launches on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch digitally on September 5. A physical edition will be made available in future via Limited Run Games.
