While individual Pokemon reveals don’t always do it for me, this Cyclizar showcase, compliments of the new Scarlet and Violet reveal from the Pokemon World Championships this past weekend, is too cute/weird to resist.

Here’s the full lore rundown:

“This Pokemon has lived in many households in the Paldea region since ancient times. It has a mild disposition, and people riding Cyclizar are a very common sight. It appears Cyclizar don’t mind being ridden because the warmth of a rider helps stave off the cold. Cyclizar can sprint at over 70 mph while carrying a human. Its extremely hard head and thick, lithe tail are not only useful for maintaining balance and absorbing shocks while sprinting—they also provide effective ways to attack during battles.”

One confirmed move it’ll sport is shed tail, which allows it to create a substitute (classic), then swap with a combatant in your party. It’s known as a “mount Pokemon,” with dragon/normal types. It is absolutely going into my party as an early inclusion. While some creatures don’t always make the final cut, I’ll never forget party members like this that got me to where I needed to be by the time the Elite Four equivalent rolls around. And if they can evolve, even better!
