I didn’t expect to play a mech action game and a Tetris battle royale on my Switch this evening, but then again, it’s a Nintendo Direct day. Despite tuning in for years, I still never know exactly what to expect.

Daemon X Machina, that sizzlin’ mech shooter with on-the-fly weapon switching, is dropping a demo on the Nintendo Switch eShop today. It’ll only be available to download for a limited time, but the trial will let players sample four separate missions and get a feel for the mech customization elements.

“After playing, select players will receive an email containing a link to an online survey where they can provide feedback about the game to Director Kenichiro Tsukuda and the development team.”

Daemon X Machina now has a summer release window.
