Max Payne movie casts Mila Kunis, may be aiming at a PG-13 rating

A couple of new details for the Max Payne movie have been revealed today. First off, That ’70s Show and Family Guy star, Mila Kunis, will be playing a major role in the movie. IGN believes that Mila will be playing as Mona Sax from Max Payne 2. Her character is described as “an assassin who teams up with Max Payne to avenge her sister’s death” which seems to resemble Mona. That isn’t confirmed yet, but at least we have some decent eye candy in the movie now.

In other Max Payne movie news, the first shot of Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne has been released. Nothing too special about the shot, just shows Mark getting into a car while it’s raining. Aside from that, DarkZero has heard that the movie is shooting for a PG-13 rating. Max Payne was all about the extreme violence so hearing any rumblings of a toned down movie is a real downer.

Do you think this movie has a chance at all or is it going to suck just like all the other videogame movie adaptations? We’ll know for sure sometime in 2009 when the movie comes out.
