Mass Effect appears on Games on Demand, then quickly pulled

Our second proper peek at Microsoft’s Games on Demand service was provided by a pre-emptive launch of Mass Effect. Around 4 AM this morning, the Xbox LIVE Marketplace RSS feed listed Mass Effect as a title available for download. Naturally, Microsoft pulled the title (Games on Demand doesn’t launch until this August), but the RSS listing and its juicy details remain.

Oh right, we didn’t mention the juice: the listing has a curious line (as spotted by 360sync).

“Download new systems and worlds to visit!”

If you’re still hot for Mass Effect, then you already know that only one bit of downloadable content has been released. While “Bring Down the Sky” was a decent adventure, it didn’t add multiple “worlds” much less “systems.” So, that can only mean the new and confirmed content will hit before August. Awesome!
