Marvel Rivals buffs Blade but nerfs 2 others in latest patch notes

A new update for Marvel Rivals will go live tomorrow, Aug. 21, and it includes a handful of hero balancing changes but not much else.

The game’s newest hero, Blade, will be getting a slight buff while another Duelist and one Strategist are being taken down a peg or two in the update that will hit live servers at 3am CT. With just a few weeks left until the new season should be arriving, this may be the last game update until then.

Marvel Rivals Aug. 21 patch notes – Buffs and nerfs

Duelist

• Blade (Buff)
  • Increase Lifesteal gained during Bloodline Awakening from 60 percent to 65 percent. Reduce self-healing reduction from 40 percent to 35 percent.
• Human Torch (Nerf)
  • Reduce Flame Field (right-click on terrain) Damage Over Time from 25/s to 20/s.
  • Reduce Pyro-Prison Damage Over Time from 50/s to 40/s.

Strategist

• Loki (Nerf)
  • Reduce Mystical Missile damage dealt by Loki and his illusions to enemies from 30 to 25. (Healing for teammates remains unchanged.)
