Basically the same as 8
We haven’t seen or heard many details about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe outside of some basic facts, but given that we’re nearly one month away from the launch of the Switch, Nintendo is starting to roll that stuff out. Some of it comes second-hand, inferred by press materials, but I’ll take it.
In this case, we have information on what the amiibo details will entail, and it employs a system that’s identical to the original game. You have your typical Mii character costume unlocks, but his time you can use a Splatoon amiibo to get a Motocross-type outfit. That’s about it!
The game is still set for an April 27 release so anything can change, but this is what we have to go on for now.
