Mario Kart 64 on Wii U DOES NOT have ghost data support

Whenever something hits the Virtual Console, most people kind of assume all the features are in tow. But that’s often not the case, so we like to report on it just so you guys have all of the information (like when the original Metroid was still accounted for in Metroid Zero Mission).

Mario Kart 64 (which was just released on the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe this week) inherently can’t support N64 Controller Paks, hence, ghost data is not supported either. Nintendo seemingly hasn’t gone through the motions of adding it in via emulation somehow, so you’re out of luck if you want to access this particular feature. The Expansion Pak is supported by the way, as seen in Donkey Kong 64.
