Maple Story DS goes single player for Korea

I’ve always loved the look of Maple Story, but after a few minutes of play I already had that pointless emotion I experience when playing all MMOs – Why am I grinding this character? What’s the purpose if the game has no ending? Why am I playing a game with no actual story with a resolution? Who am I?

Looks like I’m going to have a second chance. Maple Story has been announced for the DS already, but further details have revealed that it will be a single player adventure rather than utilize online capabilities to duplicate the MMO experience. So far it doesn’t have an American release planned (it releases in Korea nex year,) but the popularity of the game is sure to warrant one in the long run.

Of course, this promises absolutely nothing as far as the delivery of a fulfilling storyline, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
