Mafia III really snuck up on us – it’s out in October and has a Season Pass

October 7

2K Games has announced that Mafia III, a game that I frequently forget exists, is coming on October 7, 2016. It’s slated for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. All told I was never a huge Mafia fan per se, but I am interested in seeing where this takes us. Some of the themes the game is tackling are sensitive, and it would be cool to see something really take on those concepts.

You can watch the trailer below and judge for yourself. The song choice just makes me want to watch Pulp Fiction again though, which I saw in theaters recently. As a fan of mob films it’s sad to recall how many talents are no longer with us, like Bruno Kirby and Chris Penn. Hopefully this new cast delivers.

As always, there are standard, limited, and collector’s editions available, ranging in price from $79.99 to $149.99 respectively. There’s also a pre-order bonus for vehicle skins, and a Season Pass is confirmed.
