Shigenori Nishikawa is moving on. He directed Platinum Games’ Wii game MadWorld under Platinum creator Shinji Mikami, who is also known as the creator of Resident Evil. Now Mikami has moved on to create a new studio named Tango, and it seems that Nishikawa will follow.

You might have seen Nishikawa’s work in some of Capcom’s Dino Crisis games, as well as the GameCube remakes of Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4.

While Platinum has more lined up with their upcoming game Vanquish, it looks like Tango is set to be the new hotness, as Mikami and Nishikawa join Grasshopper Manufacture sound director Masashi Takada and Okami art director Naoki Katakai to work on what Mikami says will be a survival horror using 3D technology.

It’s a small world, as this news was dropped on Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya’s Twitter account.
