Mad Catz pulls out of TGS Capcom Pro Tour

Not a great year

Recommended Videos

It hasn’t been a great year for Mad Catz. In addition to cutting 37% of its staff and dropping some sponsored players and high-profile team members like MarkMan, it is also not hosting the Capcom Pro Tour at TGS later in September.

The tournament is still happening, and Mad Catz is still an officially licensed peripheral manufacturer for Capcom, but this doesn’t bode well for the company, which has always had a more hands-on presence with its community. It’s always possible that Sony could swoop in and help build up its fighting game cred.
