PC and mobile accessories company Logitech is not doing so hot these days. Financials show that they lost some $180 million last quarter, and that sales are down 14 percent. They’ve got to tighten up somewhere, so they’ve decided to stop making console gaming peripherals.

The Verge reports that CEO Bracken Darrell has called off making non-strategic products,” which includes videogame console peripherals and speaker docks. They’re also dumping the Harmony remote division and their security camera business.

I’m a fan of Logitech’s racing wheels, so this is sad news. Maybe they’ll keep on making these as they’re also PC products. Speaking of PC, their gamepads are good, though the Xbox 360 controller has become something of a standard lately.
