LocoRoco sequel rolls to PS3

Recommended Videos

Did you like Sony’s weird-ass rolling blob game LocoRoco?  The first-party PSP game was really a hit-or-miss type of affair, and while some really dug the colors and world-tilting gameplay, others gave it a “what the hell?” and moved on. If you are in the ‘for’ camp, then you’ll be pleased to know that a sequel is coming to the PS3.

The new title is being called Buu Buu Cocoreccho!, which probably translates to look at this crazy made-in-Japan sh*t. The sequel is going to be a PlayStation Network download, featuring 200 LocoRoco characters in a new world that Sony calls “a peculiar extra chapter”. There is very little information on this new title at the moment.

We do know that this title will use the PS3’s SIXAXIS motion-sensing controls. This seems to be a perfect fit, as the original title always seemed like it should be controlled that way. IGN UK says that the title is listed as being 95% done, so let’s hope that we hear more details soon.
