Lococycle gets a permanent price reduction

Less than three months after release

Twisted Pixel’s Lococycle is a rather polarizing game. Chris seemed to enjoy it. I, on the other hand, did not. Judging by the treatment that Microsoft’s giving it, the general public appears to be just as divided.

Major Nelson wrote on his website today that Lococycle on Xbox One will receive a permanent price reduction of 50 percent – from $20 down to $10. This is after the game came out on November 21, 2013 — about two and a half months ago. Yikes.

It’s possible that Microsoft is doing this to match the price of the Xbox 360 version which releases on February 14. However, you can’t help but think that if it were selling well on Xbox One, there’s no way anyone in their right mind would offer it up on discount.
