Today, European early LittleBigPlanet owners were prompted to download a patch to upgrade their games to version 1.01. Surprisingly, the patch didn’t edit out the scandalous song that we have heard so much about lately. Instead, it fixed some online functions and added a few more costumes.
Not to seem insensitive yet again, Media Molecule promptly rolled out another patch to take care of Tourmani Diabate’s track “Tapha Niang.” Instead of completely killing the track, the patch removed the vocal track from the song. There has yet to be any indication from Media Molecule of the patch doing anything else to the game.
Out of all the games on the PlayStation 3 release calendar, who would have thought LBP would be the one to cause controversy? The second patch will only affect those who got hold of the game early. As a result of the recall, all new copies of LBP will presumably have this patch on the disc.
