Link’s Awakening’s jams get chopped for MeowMeow & BowWow

A fresh Zelda remix EP straight out of GameChops

While some of us were attending PAX and getting all the ladies, others were back home, hard at work in the studio. My buddy Dj CUTMAN produced a brand new Zelda EP through his net label GameChops, and it’s ready for mass consumption.

MeowMeow & BowWow is a seven-track album that directly sources the music of Link’s Awakening. A collaboration between CUTMAN and Spamtrom, it is a follow-up to the duo’s Zelda II-themed Bagu and the Riverman from 2011. The jams are fairly no-frills and let the original tunes do their thing while adding a few tasteful flourishes and in-game sound effects.

I’ve embedded the Bandcamp player below, so be sure to jump to “Ballad of the Wind Fish” and sway your head like you’re in a dream. If you then want to score the full album, part with $7 for the digital version or $10 for a CD.
