Recently, the word on the street was that Level 5 were planning a “revival” of sorts for a cancelled game. Well, the developer has confirmed via Famitsu that said title is cancelled Sony PSP release Ushiro, which is now expected to transition to Nintendo Switch instead.

Ushiro is a turn-based RPG which features a young protagonist interacting with ghosts in real-world Japanese locations, such as Tokyo’s Shibuya district. Despite receiving write ups, trailers and gameplay footage, the supposed PSP title never saw the light of day.

However, according to Famitsu’s interview with Level 5 President Akihiro Hino, Ushiro is back on the books and will be coming to Nintendo Switch instead, although Hino does go on to admit that development is still in its very early stages. If you’d like to check out Ushiro in action, the video below, from way back in 2008, gives you a glimpse at the PSP prototype.
