The passion
So Driveclub is back from the dead, even if its developers are gone. Yep, Driveclub VR is a thing, and will arrive on Sony’s newest piece of hardware on October 13 for 4,900 yen (roughly $50). But none of that is important.
Occasionally, I think of the dude who first presented the ill-fated Driveclub back in 2013. I don’t think I’ll ever love anything as much as this guy loves digital cars. You can watch for yourself in the video below starting at 3:00 if you don’t remember him — you can almost hear him climaxing when talking about fibers and light. Now you can actually feel it — in VR!
For your enjoyment, I’ve captured the exact moment when he says “we’ve gone borderline insane [with real world details].”
You’re welcome.
