Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s ‘Champion’s Ballad’ DLC seems to be coming in December

There’s a window on the eShop now

Nintendo has been pretty coy on when the second DLC for Zelda: Breath of the Wild is actually coming, but thanks to a tip from a reader, we have some semblance of a clue now.

We knew it was on track for this year according to a recent video from series producer Eiji Aonuma that was basically a “please look forward to it” ad, but the eShop gives us a closer glance at the window. By searching for Zelda, going into the Breath listing, then into the Season Pass, then further into Champion’s Ballad, the listing states “December 2017” (it further points to 12/31, which is likely a placeholder).

My guess is that since Xenoblade Chronicles 2, another action-adventure game is out in Early December, that this will drop right before Christmas as their last major release of the year.

[Thanks Jeff!]
