Today, Konami unveiled the Silent Hill: Homecoming widget. The widget is described as an “interactive book” that will give users a glimpse into the pretend lives of some of the characters in Homecoming via journal entries. It also has a few screens, videos, and various tidbits of news pertaining to the game.
The widget can be found here and if you’re feeling froggy, you can embed it into your favorite social networking page. It’s sure not to annoy any of your normal friends, really, we swear.
Of course, if you’re dying for information about the newest Silent Hill, then you need not look far. Tiff got hold of the game earlier this year, and Nick has had the luxury of being acquainted with some of the larger denizens of the game.

Konami has launched the Silent Hill® Homecoming widget, allowing fans of the horror franchise up-to-the-minute information on the next chapter in the series. The Silent Hill Homecoming widget is an interactive book where users flip through pages of screenshots, videos and recent news. In addition, the widget will include regularly updated journal entries of Alex Shepherd, Elle Holloway and Sheriff Wheeler. Now available for download, the Silent Hill Homecoming widget can be added to Facebook, MySpace, iGoogle, and personal homepages.
