Konami files trademark for ‘Big Boss’ pachinko machine

Kept you gamblin’ huh?

Oh hey it’s another pachinko story today!

Following the recent claims that Konami is moving further away from traditional games development, and is instead focusing on pachinko and mobile markets, they have filed a new trademark for “Big Boss” under the entertainment umbrella KPE. KPE is Konami’s pachinko division.

It stands to reason that despite the departure of Kojima, Konami is going to “Mega Man” (read: make a lot of money on merchandise) the shit out of Metal Gear. As for that “erotic” Castlevania machine, I couldn’t find it anywhere in Japan during my recent visit for TGS, so I suspect it will hit later this year.
